Steve Carlton was able to finish what he started and was credited with a
complete game and Ken Reitz had 3 base hits at Foster Field as the Kimberton
Firefighters lost a heartbreaker to the Lionville team 2-1.
 
Lionville scored the deciding run in the 9th inning.  Reitz delivered a
base-hit.  Chris Speier came next and he laid down a sacrifice bunt.  Joe
Morgan then slapped a one-base hit giving Lionville the win as 1,106 happy
fans joyfully celebrated.  Lionville rapped out 10 hits for the afternoon.
 
Carlton(1-0) allowed 1 run on the game. Eric Rasmussen(0-1) was given the
loss.  He pitched 8 and 1/3 innings and surrendered 10 hits and 2 walks.
