10/1/76: Lionville Tames Elverson, 5-2

Tiger-Cats manager Jon Brams:

Patient hitting by Joe, Simba, and Wynn at the top of the order - good to see them wait for their pitches. Jim didn't have to wait, though, for his dinger in the 3rd - Barr grooved the first pitch to him. Kison kept giving off leadoff base hits but he made some clutch pitches to limit the damage. A couple of double plays helped. Nice way for Bruce to end his season - a very successful one I might add. Good relief work by Downing and Sanders kept my palms dry, although Mazzilli hit a very long fly to right off of Sanders.
