9/27/76: Lionville Dumps Honey Brook, 5-3

Tiger-Cats manager Jon Brams:

What a play by Leon and Simba to cut down Geronimo at the plate in the 8th! It seemed a sure bet Geronimo was going to tie the game but Leon's throw was right on the money and Simba was like a steel wall blocking the plate. Wow! That was after Kenny Reitz's big 2-run double in the top of the inning got us the lead back after what seemed like an epidemic of stranded runners. Nice piece of hitting by Wynn to get an insurance run home in the 9th. And Lefty is a 20-game winner! Honey Brook kept getting base knocks off him, but he was economical with his pitches. So I left him in.
