8/8/77: Elverson Rips Lionville, 7-3, as B. Forsch Wins 10th

Tiger-Cats manager Jon Brams:
Kison followed his all too typical pattern this season of looking pretty good for several innings and then falling apart. He just seems to lose concentration. I can't explain it. I doubt he can either. Lefty can't get back soon enough.

8/8/77: Elverson Sweeps Lionville, 11-1, as Garvey, Valentine Deliver

Tiger-Cats manager Jon Brams:
Miserable effort. Miserable night. Speier's error opened the floodgates. But with the bats unable to sustain anything would it really have mattered? Garvey killed us in both games. We slide perilously toward 6th place.

We weren't competitive. This was the 2nd straight poor start by Swan. The only good things I saw were Simba's homer and Ott throwing out 3 would-be base-stealers - and stealing one himself.

8/6/77: Lionville Drubs Chester Springs, 12-3, as Morgan Homers Twice

Tiger-Cats manager Jon Brams:
We were pretty relentless at the plate - good to see after stranding 4 in the first 2 innings. Davey Johnson and Joe showed a lot of muscle. More fine relief work by Collins. We took out a lot of frustration today. Terrible the small crowds they draw here, by the way, with such a strong ballclub.
