Tiger-Cats manager Jon Brams:
4 hits in the nightcap after 21 in the first game. Strange day, indeed. Collins was the lone bright spot. I couldn't believe how he picked off 2 guys. Again Lefty has to be pulled early due to an injury. That 11th win eludes him again.

7/12/77: Lopes Hits Inside-the-Park Homer, Runners-Up Upset Fan Picks, 4-2

Runners-Up 3rd base coach (and Tiger-Cats manager) Jon Brams:
Yeah I'm the guy who gave the green light to Dave Lopes on his inside-the-park home run in the 3rd. And Jim Ghoulach is the guy who by his own admission got confused and had to put Parker in centerfield. Ha! Fortunately for Ghoulach, Parker didn't screw up out there. As for my guys, they all got on base - Bull and Dawson twice each, and they each scored once. I'd like to think those two runs made the difference. Either that or one of those runs and Lopes' scramble around the bases.

7/10/77: Luzinski's Double in 14th is Key as Lionville Shades Elverson, 7-6

Tiger-Cats manager Jon Brams:
The intent was to let several starters sit and do some thinking. As the day wore on we would need all of them except Simba. Bull gets the big blow, doubling home Speier. Then Tyson's error gives us the insurance that we would turn out to need. I don't view this as a springboard. But the win keeps us from going into the break in free-fall.
