7/27/77: Eagle Takes Down Lionville, 11-8, Behind Foster, Roberts

Tiger-Cats manager Jon Brams:
8-extra base hits and we out-hit them, but poor fielding and pitching does us in. The bottom part of their order did some damage. You expect that from Foster but not Bud Harrelson and Dave Roberts. Now it looks like Lefty's going to have to go on the DL. Managing the pitching staff is going to be hellish in the coming weeks. A bright spot: Fernando Gonzalez with 2 runs scored and 3 hits to lift his average to .326.

7/26/77: Lionville Comes Back to Beat Eagle, 6-5, on Morgan's Homer

Tiger-Cats manager Jon Brams:
That was a pretty eventful 2 hours and 8 minutes, I'll tell you. 4 batters in we were down 4-0. Hooton didn't let it get to him. He battled back and ended up getting the win, thanks to Bull's 2-run triple, Iorg's sac fly that scored Reitz, who's not exactly a speed merchant, and 3 M-bombs - Morales, Martin, and Morgan. Very good win.
