7/24/77: Lionville Survives Glenmoore Comeback, 5-4, as Jones Wins 8th

Tiger-Cats manager Jon Brams:

Starting pitching was the main ingredient of our pennant drive last year, and finally - nearly 100 games in - we're starting to see some consistency there. Randy was great until he ran out of gas with 2 out in the 8th. But holy crap, we came within an eyelash of giving this one away. Way too close for comfort! Reed hasn't been the reliable closer he was last year.
