7/15/77: Lionville Subdues Guthriesville, 7-4, Behind Kranepool, Hooton

Tiger-Cats manager Jon Brams:

We got off to a good start and then kept them at bay. Kranepool's blast in the 7th gave us a cushion. Hooton made some big mistakes, and he lost concentration after Reitz's error, but he persevered and got a nice win. Hard to believe it's only his 5th. We really needed him to go the distance. Simba stayed hot with 3 hits - he's up to .355!
