Del Unser had 4 hits and 5 RBI as the Devault Dynamiters topped the Kimberton
Firefighters 14-10 at Kimberton Fairground.
 
Unser had a good evening at the plate.  He stroked a base-hit bringing home
two baserunners in the 2nd inning, stroked a single scoring a run in the 3rd
inning, laced a one-base hit bringing in two baserunners in the 5th inning
and ripped a base-hit in the 7th inning.  Despite scoring in 6 separate
innings, Kimberton could not get the win.  
 
Randy Lerch(3-10) allowed 8 runs in 6 and 1/3 innings, and picked up the
victory. Lerch got relief help from Bruce Sutter who gained credit for his
17th save.  John Candelaria(8-6) was tagged with the loss.  By surrending 10
runs in 4 and 1/3 innings his ERA jumped from 3.13 to 3.58.

The Chester Springs team had very little trouble at Historic Village Pk.
downing the Marshallton Mad Hatters.  The score was 8-3.
 
Bob Boone made sure the Chester Springs fans enjoyed themselves.  He banged
out a single which brought home a run in the 1st inning, smashed a
bases-empty 'big-fly' in the 3rd inning and laced a base-knock scoring two
baserunners in the 7th inning.  Chester Springs had 13 hits overall, while
Marshallton had 9.  
 
Tom Seaver(8-5) was the winner allowing 3 runs in 7 innings. Steve Renko(0-3)
was charged with the loss.  He surrended 3 homeruns in his 6 innings.

In an entertaining game at French Creek Park the final score was the Glenmoore
Stableboys 7, the Elverson Squires 4 in 10 innings.
 
The game was deadlocked at 4 after nine full innings.  Glenmoore won it in the
10th inning.  Warren Cromartie led off and keyed the rally when he laced a
one-base hit.  After an out was recorded, Bake McBride came up and he
tripled.  Biff Pocoroba then cracked a two-run shot.  Willie Montanez
followed next and he smacked a single.  Glenmoore rapped out 12 hits for the
afternoon.  
 
The victory was credited to Bill Bonham(8-6) who went 9 innings, allowing 4
runs. Gene Garber was credited with his 10th save.  Mike Garman(6-5) absorbed
the loss in relief.  His ERA ballooned from 3.38 to 3.91 as he allowed 3 runs
in 1 and 1/3 innings.
