9/30/76: Lionville Quiets Elverson, 4-1

Tiger-Cats manager Jon Brams:

Super job today by Craig Swan! That should be a real confidence builder for him going into next season. He had a 2-hitter through 8 and retired the first 2 batters in the 9th. Then he grooved one to Schmidt, who has his sights set on 50 homers, gave up a double to Garvey, and I had to get him out of there. Sambito finished but it got a little anxious in the meantime. At the plate we left too many guys on base, but thanks mostly to Jerry Morales who drove in 3, we built up a healthy lead.
