5/8/77: Slam by Reitz Propels Lionville to 6-3 Decision Over Honey Brook

Tiger-Cats manager Jon Brams:

We load 'em up for Kenny Reitz and he wipes 'em clean and we're on our way to a much needed sweep of the slow-starting Beekeepers. What a 1st inning! That 5-spot lets us coast for a good while. Joe gets on base 5 times. Bull gets 3 hits. Hooton strikes out 6 and gets his first win, but he doesn't quite have enough to keep them off the board. In fact, it got borderline uncomfortable out there in the 9th. Had we not left on so many guys on base in the 2nd through the 8th innings, we would have been able to breathe easier. Tough 4-game series at Glenmoore next. Looks like Bentley's built himself a contender. And they're red-hot!
