5/10/77: Johnson Stars as Lionville Rips Glenmoore, 10-4

Davey Johnson and Joe fired the big guns in this one. They were great. Gene Clines had himself a nice little game too. His squeeze bunt to score Joe in the 5th was a thing of absolute beauty. Gene even beat it out. A lot of triples in this game - 4, 3 by our guys, including 1 by Davey of all people. Lefty was just okay - and he got tired - exactly what I hoped wouldn't happen. But Cornutt dashed their hopes with just 3 pitches - pretty impressive. And Sambito, despite throwing a grounder away, closed it out nicely, and we salvage a split of the twin-bill.
