4/30/77: Alcala Loses Composure as Lionville Pummels Honey Brook, 12-4

Tiger-Cats manager Jon Brams:

12 runs but only 7 RBIs! How about that? Alcala pretty much gave us this one, balking in 2 runs, wild pitching in a run, and walking in another. He was wild as hell. I couldn't believe McLaughlin didn't get him out of there sooner. Then when he finally did, Bull greets Spillner with a 3-run bomb! Lefty ran out of gas with one out to go - he was far from his best - but once again I had a depleted bullpen so I was hoping he could finish. Holdsworth got his first action, though, getting Phillips (who at .045 has been gettable by practically every pitcher he's faced) with 2 on.
