Rick Reuschel tossed a complete game and Dan Driessen hit 2 doubles and had 3
RBI at French Creek Park where the Eagle Eagles beat the Elverson Squires 11-7.
 
Reuschel(10-7) gave Eagle a solid outing.  He was reached for 11 hits and 1
walk in 9 innings.  Eagle banged out 13 hits on the afternoon.  
 
Ed Halicki(6-8) was the loser.  He got hit pretty hard, allowing 10 hits and 5
walks in 5 innings.

Steve Yeager cleared three ducks from a very crowded pond with a grand slam as
the Marshallton Mad Hatters outscored the Honey Brook Beekeepers 12-8.
 
Yeager led the offense for Marshallton.  He ripped a base-hit in the 4th
inning and caught a hold of a bad pitch for a Grand Slam homerun in the 5th
inning.  Honey Brook had 15 hits in the game while Marshallton had 9, but
Marshallton had the more timely hits.  
 
The victory was credited to Rob Dressler(2-3) who went 3 and 1/3 innings,
allowing 1 run. Dressler got relief help from Rawly Eastwick who gained
credit for his 26th save.  Ray Burris(6-15) was hit with the loss.  He was
unable to control the Marshallton offense and allowed 8 hits and 4 walks in 4
and 1/3 innings.  
 
KIMBERTON AT GLENMOORE

Catcher Johnny Bench had 3 base hits and 3 RBI as the Glenmoore Stableboys
really laid it on the Kimberton Firefighters 14-1.
 
Glenmoore drew first blood jumping out to an early lead in the first inning
when they came up with 5 runs on 6 hits.  Glenmoore had 16 hits for the night
while Kimberton had 5.  
 
The winning pitcher was Pedro Borbon(2-0) who allowed no runs in 4 and 2/3
innings. Jim Lonborg(7-9) was charged with the loss.  He allowed 4 hits and
no walks in 2/3 of an inning.
 
DEVAULT AT GUTHRIESVILLE

In a close game the Guthriesville Golddiggers got by the Devault Dynamiters 4-2.
 
Devault was unable to climb back into it after Guthriesville went ahead for
good in the 2nd inning as they scored 2 runs on 2 base hits.  Guthriesville
had 9 hits overall, while Devault had 6.  
 
Bob Apodaca(6-3) got the win allowing no runs in 2 and 1/3 innings. Ken Forsch
earned the save, his 13th.  The loss was charged to Tommy John(6-8).

Ron Reed came through with a solid 7 and two third innings as the Lionville
team defeated the Chester Springs club 1-0 at Foster Field.
 
Reed(8-3) was in control of the game from the outset.  He gave up just 4 hits
and no walks in 7 and 2/3 innings seeing his ERA drop from 2.59 to 2.30.
Lionville and Chester Springs each finished the night with 4 hits.  
 
Ken Sanders earned his 4th save.  Joe Niekro(4-5) was tagged with the loss.
He pitched 8 innings giving up 4 hits and 4 walks.
