Center fielder Cesar Cedeno went yard and had 3 RBI at Bentley Stadium as the
Guthriesville Golddiggers pulled off a dramatic comeback beating the
Glenmoore Stableboys 8-7.
 
Guthriesville scored the winning runs in the 9th inning plating 3 runs on 3
base hits.  Duffy Dyer kicked off the action when he ripped a base-knock.
Joshua stole second with some aggressive base running.  After an out was
recorded, Enos Cabell came to the plate and drew a walk.  Davey Lopes stepped
in and he delivered a single.  Lopes took second on the throw.  Sam Mejias
came up to bat and stroked a single.  Guthriesville finished with 11 hits in
the victory.  
 
The win was credited to Ken Forsch(4-10) who went 1 and 1/3 innings allowing 3
runs. Paul Reuschel(2-4) was charged with the loss in relief.  He surrendered
2 runs and 1 hit in 1 inning.

At French Creek Park, the Elverson faithful were treated to an intriguing
pitcher's duel.  John Denny(7-11) finally bested his Chester Springs
counterpart, Tom Seaver(10-6), 3-1.
 
Elverson drew first blood jumping out to an early lead in the first inning
scoring one runner utilizing 2 base hits.  Nino Espinosa was perfect in
relief and gained credit for his 1st save.  
 
Seaver was the losing pitcher. He pitched 8 innings and surrendered 6 hits and
1 walk.

The Marshallton Mad Hatters defeated the Devault Dynamiters 9-6 at Four Dogs
Field.
 
It was a good day for Marshallton thanks to Gary Roenicke.  He doubled
bringing in two baserunners in the 2nd inning, banged out a single knocking
in a run in the 3rd inning and doubled plating two runs in the 7th inning.
Marshallton had 15 hits for the game and Devault had 8.  
 
J.R. Richard(11-9) picked up the victory, allowing 6 runs in 8 innings. Rawly
Eastwick earned his 34th save.  The losing pitcher was Tommy John(8-9).  He
got hit pretty hard, allowing 9 hits and 2 walks in 2 and 2/3 innings.
