7/30/76: Marshallton Turns Back Lionville, 2-1, in 11

What a tremendous pitcher's duel! After the 1st Richard pretty much handcuffed us. But I thought Joe's 100th run of the season would be enough for Randy. Unfortunately, he made a mistake against Cey in the 9th and that darn Penguin lined it over the fence to tie the game. Downing seemed a little tired after his start Monday and couldn't shut the door in the 11th after Cey's leadoff single. Maybe I should have stayed with Sanders. I thought Willie D was safe at 3rd in the bottom of the 11th - so did most of the fans. Close play - tough call. If you let them get to Eastwick they're tough to beat.
