Rick Reuschel delivered 8 solid innings as the Eagle Eagles defeated the
Glenmoore Stableboys 2-0 at Bentley Stadium.
 
Eagle went ahead for good in the 2nd inning plating an isolated run.  That
early scoring was all that Reuschel(4-1) needed.  Randy Moffitt came throught
with a perfect ninth inning to earn his 2nd save.  
 
John Montefusco(2-2) was the loser.  He gave up 2 runs and 5 hits in 8 and 1/3
innings.

Del Unser had 2 base hits and 4 RBI as the Devault Dynamiters bested the
Marshallton Mad Hatters 6-5 at Four Dogs Field.
 
Randy Lerch(1-5) pitched a fine game.  He went 5 and 1/3 innings allowing 3
hits and 2 walks.  Both teams ended up with 8 hits on the night.  
 
Bruce Sutter gained credit for his 10th save.  J.R. Richard(3-4) was the
losing pitcher.  He pitched 9 innings allowing 8 hits and 6 walks.

The Chester Springs club and the Honey Brook Beekeepers locked up in an
exciting one-run game at The Nest.  The final score was the Chester Springs
club 6, the Honey Brook Beekeepers 5.
 
Rick Monday enjoyed a fine evening at the plate.  He delivered a base-hit
resulting in a run in the 1st inning, launched a three-run homer in the 3rd
inning and stroked a single in the 8th inning.  Honey Brook had a chance to
come back in the 9th but they came up short.  
 
The win was credited to Phil Niekro(5-1) who went 8 and 1/3 innings allowing 5
runs. Charlie Hough earned his 8th save.  Mark Lemongello(2-5) absorbed the
loss.  
 
KIMBERTON AT ELVERSON

Steve Garvey had 3 base hits and 2 RBI at French Creek Park where the Elverson
Squires beat the Kimberton Firefighters 5-3.
 
Elverson came through with the game-winning runs in the bottom of the 8th
inning scoring 2 runs on 3 base hits.  Al Oliver started the inning off right
when he reached on an error.  After an out was recorded, Garvey stepped up to
the plate and he smacked a single.  Mike Schmidt then hit a single.  Schmidt
took second on the throw.  Joe Ferguson was up next and he ripped a
base-knock.  Elverson had 9 hits for the night.  
 
Mike Garman(5-1) allowed no runs in 1 and 2/3 innings, and picked up the
victory. Guillermo Hernandez(0-1) was tagged with the loss in relief.  He
surrendered 3 hits and no walks in 2 innings.  
 
GUTHRIESVILLE AT LIONVILLE

Ken Reitz went yard and had 3 RBI and Steve Carlton was able to finish what he
started and was credited with a complete game as the Lionville team beat the
Guthriesville Golddiggers 6-4.
 
Carlton(6-2) had a solid outing for Lionville.  He was reached for 7 hits and
3 walks in 9 innings.  Lionville totaled 12 hits on the night.  
 
Bob Apodaca(0-1) was given the loss in relief.  He gave up 6 hits and 1 walk
in 3 and 1/3 innings.
