6/4/77: Chaney's Squeeze Gives Eagle 1-0 Victory Over Lionville

Tiger-Cats manager Jon Brams:

Hooton comes off the DL and looks really sharp. But he's a hard-luck loser. 8th inning, scoreless game - Roberts singles, Burke steals 2nd on a hit and run with Chaney at the plate and goes to 3rd when Simba throws the ball into the outfield (again - grrr). Having lucked out with his hit and run, Chaney lays down a beautiful squeeze and we have no chance to get Burke - none whatsoever. We're finally blanked an extraordinary 212 games into my tenure here despite outhitting Eagle 7-3. They strand only 2, we strand 10. Bummer of an afternoon.
