home run in the 3rd inning, stroked a one-base hit scoring a run in the 7th
inning and doubled clearing all three ducks off the pond in the 8th inning.
Even though they scored in 5 different innings, Elverson was not able to pull

save. Jim Barr(3-5) took the loss. He was not very effective, surrendering
8 runs in 6 and 2/3 innings.

'I've spent a lot of time in the cage and made some adjustments and they've
paid off,' Hebner said. 'I just take the same approach up there. I don't
overanalyze it. I go up there, see the ball and try to put a good swing on
it.'
