5/29/77: Murcer Doubles in Lead Run as Guthriesville Beats Lionville, 5-3

I'm kicking myself for not sending Joe home on Simba's base hit in the 7th. We're usually pretty aggressive with the score tied like it was. Cedeno's got a gun, but this is Joe - he's super fast. I got timid, and that's usually a recipe for losing. I thought Bull and Reitz would be able to get him in, but that didn't work out. Bull hit into a force play and Reitz flew out. After that we weren't able to get much going. Dawson getting caught stealing in the 8th didn't help. But I'm gonna stop kicking myself now - this was a team loss. Speaking of Joe, he's in a bad slump - down to .273. I think he needs a day off.
