5/18/77: Candelaria Pitches Kimberton to 4-3 Win Over Lionville

Once again Hooton comes out flat. That's become a pattern. Now he goes on the DL. I had been thinking of taking him out of the rotation temporarily. Maybe when he gets off the DL he'll have his head screwed on straight. That 6-plus ERA of his is simply unacceptable And what's with Simba and all those throws into the outfield? The one tonight led to the winning run - after we had clawed our way back. He's having a great season at the plate, but 7 errors in 34 games … that's hard to understand. Tonight may have been different if Hendrick hadn't just barely tracked down that shot Martin hit when we had the bases packed in the bottom of the 2nd. Hendrick covers a deceptive amount of ground out there. Hard to believe Pawlak was able to get him in the 3rd round. We almost took him in the 1st.
