The Devault Dynamiters had very little trouble at Great Valley Stadium downing
the Elverson Squires.  The score was 9-2.
 
Tim McCarver had a big evening at the plate.  He doubled bringing home two
baserunners in the 1st inning, doubled resulting in a run in the 3rd inning
and stroked a single plating two runs in the 4th inning.  Overall Devault
out-hit Elverson 12-7.  
 
Rick Sawyer(1-5) was the winner allowing no runs in 4 innings. Doug Rau(8-6)
took the loss.  He was hit hard and gave up 10 hits and 2 walks in 3 and 2/3
innings.

First baseman Willie Stargell had 2 base hits and 3 RBI at Historic Village
Park where the Honey Brook Beekeepers beat the Chester Springs club 9-7.
 
Chester Springs fell behind quickly as the Honey Brook offense came through in
the first inning when they scored 3 runs on 3 hits.  The big moment was
provided by Stargell who deflated the spirits of the home town crowd when he
ripped a one-base hit bringing in two baserunners.  For the game Honey Brook
out-hit Chester Springs 14-11.  
 
Mark Lemongello(2-0) allowed 5 runs in 6 and 1/3 innings, and picked up the
victory. Tug McGraw got the save, his 11th.  The loss was charged to Jim
Rooker(4-8).  He allowed a few too many baserunners giving up 13 hits and 2
walks in 7 innings.
