Dan Larson was able to finish what he started and was credited with a complete
game as the Kimberton Firefighters defeated the Honey Brook Beekeepers 7-1
at Kimberton Fairground.
 
Larson(5-3) pitched well for Kimberton in their victory.  He surrendered 7
hits and 3 walks in 9 innings seeing his ERA drop from 3.80 to 3.50.
Kimberton banged out 13 hits on the night.  
 
Doc Medich(4-8) was the losing pitcher.  He was hit hard and gave up 11 hits
and 3 walks in 4 innings.

Jack Billingham completed the game without help from the bullpen at Historic
Village Park where the Chester Springs team beat the Elverson Squires 8-1.
 
Elverson was unable to claim the lead after Chester Springs went ahead in the
bottom of the 2nd inning when they tallied 2 runs on 2 hits.  That early
scoring was all that Billingham(5-7) needed.  Both teams' bats went to sleep
after the 4th inning with no runs scored after that point.  
 
Doug Rau(10-9) ended up with the loss.  He was touched for 7 hits and 2 walks
in 2 innings.
 
EAGLE AT GUTHRIESVILLE

Left fielder Dan Driessen went yard and had 5 RBI as the Eagle Eagles topped
the hapless Guthriesville Golddiggers 10-7 at Hopewell Field.
 
Driessen provided the offensive punch.  He smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly' in
the 1st inning, slapped a one-base hit bringing home two baserunners in the
3rd inning and laced a base-hit which was good for two runs in the 9th
inning.  Eagle had a total of 12 hits for the game.  
 
The win was credited to Rick Reuschel(14-10) who went 6 and 2/3 innings
allowing 5 runs. Reuschel got help from Randy Moffitt who earned his 28th
save.  The losing pitcher was Steve Rogers(6-12).  He allowed a few too many
baserunners giving up 9 hits and 2 walks in 6 and 2/3 innings.

Center fielder Jerry Martin touched them all at Bentley Stadium as the
Lionville club beat the Glenmoore Stableboys 4-2.
 
Craig Swan(5-6) pitched a fine game.  He went 7 innings and surrendered 7
hits and 4 walks.  Both teams finished the game with 8 hits.  
 
Swan got help from Ron Reed who was credited with his 15th save.  Mickey
Lolich(8-8) absorbed the loss.  He pitched 6 innings and surrendered 8 hits
and 2 walks.
