8/26/76: Lionville Spanks Glenmoore, 7-3

Tiger-Cats manager Jon Brams:

A great night for The Toy Cannon - a homer, 2 doubles, and 3 RBIs! Other bats awakened too, as Simba, Morales, and Kranepool also had multiple-hit games. Lefty had 10 strikeouts, none bigger than Bench with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 6th. I know Lefty would have liked to have gone the distance. But he threw a lot of pitches in the 6th, 7th, and 8th, and he didn't argue when I came to get him after Hebner led off the bottom of the 9th with his 2nd double of the night. We salvaged a series split, finished the long run trip 9-4, and head home to face the reeling Diggers, who just finished getting slapped around something fierce by Eagle.
