That was an exciting but unhappy ending, with Jerry Morales barreling into Johnny Bench with what would have been the tying run had Bench not held on. to the ball. Painful! Bench isn't a gold-glover for nothing. We squandered too many chances in this one - stranded 11. The real Randy arrived late tonight. After that he pitched okay. Now we need Lefty to get us a win tomorrow night to earn us the series split.
