team bested the Eagle Eagles (10-11) 10-2 at Hickory Park.
Reuss(2-2) had a strong outing. He allowed just 5 hits and no walks in 9
innings dropping his ERA from 3.55 to 3.15. Chester Springs had 13 hits for
the night.
Dick Ruthven(1-2) was the loser. With this win, Chester Springs has a 10-11
record. They have been 6-4 lately. Eagle has a record of 10-11 after the
loss.

Gary Nolan pitched a complete game as the Marshallton Mad Hatters (11-10)
defeated the Glenmoore Stableboys (9-10) by a score of 9-2 at Bentley Stadium.
Glenmoore never recovered after Marshallton took the lead in the top of the
3rd inning as they scored 3 runs on 3 base hits. That scoring would be all
that was needed. Marshallton banged out 12 hits on the night.
Nolan(1-3) was the winner allowing 2 runs for the game. Bo McLaughlin(0-1)
ended up with the loss. He was knocked around, surrendering 6 runs in 4 and
2/3 innings.
The Marshallton ballclub's record now stands at 11-10. With the loss, the
Glenmoore ballclub's record is 9-10.

In a two run game the Devault Dynamiters (12-8) got by the Kimberton
Firefighters (8-13) by the score of 6-4.
Devault took the lead for keeps in the top of the 7th inning with 2 runs using
3 hits. Bill Robinson kicked off the action when he hit a single. After an
out was recorded, Del Unser came to the plate and doubled. Richie Zisk then
lifted one out of the park for a two run home run. Devault finished with 12
hits while Kimberton ended up with 9.
The winning pitcher was Woodie Fryman(3-0) who allowed 3 runs in 6 and 2/3
innings. Fryman got help from Bruce Sutter who was credited with his 6th
save. Fred Norman(0-3) suffered the loss. He surrendered 4 runs and 7 hits
in 6 and 1/3 innings.

Al Oliver had 3 base hits as the Elverson Squires (11-11) won in dramatic
fashion over the Guthriesville Golddiggers (6-15) by a score of 7-5
at Hopewell Field.
Elverson had the game winning rally in the 9th inning plating 3 runs on 4 base
hits. After an out was recorded, John Milner opened up the rally as he laced
a one-base hit. Ken Henderson stepped up next and he banged out a single.
Lee Mazzilli then belted a three-run homer. Tim Foli followed and he reached
on an error. After another out, Oliver came up and he ripped a base-hit.
Oliver got a great jump and stole second easily. Mike Tyson dug into the
batters box next, but he struck out. Elverson finished with 10 hits in the
victory.
The victory went to Elias Sosa(1-1) who went 2 and 2/3 innings, allowing 1
run. Ken Forsch(1-1) was the losing pitcher in relief. 'I pin this one on my
own shoulders,' Forsch said. 'The bottom line is I didn't get the job done.
Our fans deserve better than this.'
HONEY BROOK AT LIONVILLE

Left fielder Greg Luzinski blasted 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI as the
Lionville (14-6) ballclub outscored the Honey Brook Beekeepers (12-8) 12-4.
Luzinski had a big evening at the plate. He blasted a two-run home run in the
4th inning and lost the ball over the fence for three runs in the 5th inning.
Lionville out-hit Honey Brook for the game, 13 hits to 10.
Bruce Kison(2-1) got the win allowing 4 runs in 6 and 2/3 innings. Kison was
helped out by Ron Reed who recorded his 2nd save. Dave Freisleben(1-2) was
given the loss. He got hammered, allowing 8 hits and 2 walks in 4 and 1/3
innings.
