Jack Clark had 4 hits as the Elverson Squires (8-8) defeated the Honey Brook
Beekeepers (9-6) 7-1 at The Nest.
Jim Barr(2-2) gave Elverson a solid outing. He went 8 and 1/3 innings allowing
7 hits and 4 walks lowering his ERA from 4.76 to 3.77. Elverson had 12 hits
overall, while Honey Brook had 7.
John D'Acquisto(0-1) was hit with the loss. He surrendered 6 hits and 1 walk
in 5 innings.
GUTHRIESVILLE AT GLENMOORE

Rick Rhoden(1-0) and Andy Messersmith(1-2) locked horns in a pitcher's duel
with Rhoden and the Glenmoore Stableboys (8-5) coming out on top of the
Guthriesville Golddiggers (4-10) 2-0.
Glenmoore scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 2nd inning with the help of 4
hits. That early scoring held up. Both teams' bats went to sleep after the
2nd inning with no runs scored after that point.
Gene Garber got the save, his 2nd. With the win, Glenmoore continued their
winning ways; their streak now stands at 6 games and counting.

Omar Moreno had 2 base hits and 2 RBI at Foster Field where the Eagle Eagles (7-8)
beat the Lionville (9-5) ballclub 8-4.
Rick Reuschel(1-1) pitched a fine game. He allowed 6 hits and 3 walks in 7 and
1/3 innings. Eagle out-hit Lionville for the game, 14 hits to 8.
Reuschel was helped out by Randy Moffitt who recorded his 6th save. The loss
was charged to Burt Hooton(3-1). He was unable to control the Eagle offense
and allowed 8 hits and 4 walks in 4 and 2/3 innings.
