Joe Ferguson recorded 4 RBI with one swing when he ripped a grand slam at The
Nest as the Elverson Squires beat the Honey Brook Beekeepers 6-4.
 
Elias Sosa(4-2) was reasonably effective in relief and got credit with the
victory.  He was reached for 5 hits and 2 walks in 1 and 1/3 innings.
Elverson totaled 11 hits on the night.  
 
Sosa got relief help from Mike Garman who gained credit for his 1st save.  Doc
Medich(5-10) was the loser.  He allowed a few too many baserunners giving up
6 hits and 2 walks in 2 and 2/3 innings.  
 
'After the stretch we have been through lately, this victory is especially
sweet' offered John Carney.  Now, we just have to make this the norm - not
the exception!'

Catcher Ted Simmons had 4 hits and 2 RBI as the Lionville team outscored the
Chester Springs ballclub 10-3.
 
Simmons provided much of the offense.  He lashed a single in the 1st inning,
slapped a base-hit in the 2nd inning, doubled in the 4th inning and blasted a
two-run home run in the 5th inning.  For the game Lionville out-hit Chester
Springs 15 to 6.  
 
The victory went to Randy Jones(23-8) who went 8 innings, allowing 3 runs. Jim
Rooker(7-10) was tagged with the loss.  He allowed 2 runs and 3 hits in 2/3
of an inning.
