4/23/77: Johnson's Double in 17th Lifts Lionville Over Devault, 7-6
Tiger-Cats manager Jon Brams:
Davey Johnson wins an epic for us! What a game! Barney must feel terrible. That triple play Russell started in the 10th on Morales' liner had me thinking it wasn't our day. Then Dawson barely drives one out of the park to tie it in the 12th. The place goes bananas. Another game with very good long relief. That's been a revelation 11 games in. Hope it keeps up. The way Don Collins limited the damage in the top of the 17th was amazing. First Carter gets caught off 3rd and Collins tags him in the baseline. Then Collins gets the speedy Maddox to ground into a double play. I'm still trying to figure out how that happened. And we're supposed to play 2 tomorrow? What a week!

at Bentley Stadium where the Kimberton Firefighters beat the Glenmoore
Stableboys 5-1.
Glenmoore was unable to claim the lead after Kimberton went ahead in the 3rd
inning as they scored 2 runs on 3 base hits. The early run support proved
sufficient for Norman(1-1) and Kimberton. That was all the run support
Norman required. Kimberton managed 11 hits in their victory.
Floyd Bannister(0-2) absorbed the loss. He gave up 5 runs and 7 hits in 5 and
2/3 innings.
