Dave Kingman blasted 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the Devault Dynamiters
smashed the overmatched Chester Springs team, 17-6.
 
The Chester Springs fans didn't appreciate the big day Kingman had.  He
smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly' in the 3rd inning and clubbed a three-run
home run in the 9th inning.  Devault bats were very productive in the 4th
inning when they had 9 runs on 6 hits and the 9th inning which saw them score
5 runs on 6 hits.  Chester Springs was out-hit by Devault, 18-11.
 
The win went to Randy Lerch(7-16) who allowed 4 runs in 7 and 1/3 innings. Jim
Rooker(11-7) was the losing pitcher.  He got hammered, allowing 7 hits and 4
walks in 3 innings.

The Kimberton Firefighters scored three vital insurance runs in the ninth, which
enabled them to hold off a rally by the Eagle Eagles.  The final score was 6-4.
 
John Candelaria(12-11) delivered a fine performance for Kimberton.  He went 7
innings allowing 5 hits and 2 walks.  Overall Kimberton out-hit Eagle 15-10.  
 
Guillermo Hernandez was credited with his 4th save.  Rick Reuschel(10-10) was
charged with the loss.  He allowed 2 runs and 8 hits in 5 and 2/3 innings.
