8/22/77: Lionville Rides 19 Hits to 13-4 Thumping of Elverson

Torrid hitting continued. Everybody gots hits. In fact, everybody but Davey Johnson got multiple hits! Morgan, Reitz, and most especially Speier were great at the plate. Speier had 2 doubles and a homer. It was a bumpy ride for Lefty on the mound - 72 pitches in the first 3 innings. He allowed back to back homers in the 6th. The 4th and the 5th were the only innings in which he looked like himself. But he still gets his 15th win.
