Tiger-Cats manager Jon Brams:
Now that's showing some of that Ti-Cats moxie! Gutsy comebacks from 6-3 and 7-6. Bull busted forth with 2 bombs. 4 innings of hitless relief by Leon, who gets a well-deserved win, Cornutt, and Reed. Randy will go for us in the rubber game tomorrow.

Tiger-Cats manager Jon Brams:
It looked to me like maybe Barney and his club remembered we beat them 16 out of 18 last season. They mugged us. Well, at least we shut them out after that mugging. I'll continue drumming on the dugout wall waiting for some offense. At least we didn't get shut out.

302 fans were treated to a fine game at Hopewell Field as only one run
separated the combatants at game's end. The Devault Dynamiters won by the
slimmest of margins, 6-5.

In the 7th inning Devault went on top for good plating an isolated run on 4
base hits. After an out was recorded, Dave Kingman lined a one-base hit.
Del Unser followed next and he lined a base-hit. Gary Carter then banged out
a single. Carter took second on the throw. Larry Parrish followed and he
laced a base-knock. Guthriesville threatened in the 9th but their rally came
up short.

Tom Griffin(1-0) was the winner allowing no runs in 3 and 1/3 innings. Bruce
Sutter earned the save, his 1st. Jim Kaat(0-1) was tagged with the loss. He
surrendered 6 runs and 10 hits in 6 and 1/3 innings.

'Just one or two mistakes were all it took to beat us tonight' Gary Scott
said. 'We take these games one day at a time, but this one was hard to
take.'

fence for three runs in the 9th inning. Marshallton bats were hot in the 7th
inning with 6 runs on 6 hits. Honey Brook scored in 5 different innings, but
