The Devault Dynamiters nipped the Glenmoore Stableboys in 11 innings 4-3 at
Bentley Stadium in a hard fought contest.
 
Both teams were tied at 3 runs apiece after nine innings.  Devault won the
game in the 11th inning.  After an out was recorded, Darrell Evans drew a
walk.  Bob Bailey stepped into the batter's box and he delivered a one-base
hit.  Bill Russell then would ground out.  The Glenmoore batters went down
meekly in the bottom of the 11th.  
 
Bruce Sutter(2-2) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 2 and 2/3
innings. Rick Rhoden(5-4) was the losing pitcher.  He allowed 8 hits and 5
walks in 10 and 1/3 innings.  
 
KIMBERTON AT GUTHRIESVILLE

Steve Henderson smacked 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI as the Kimberton Firefighters
defeated the Guthriesville Golddiggers in 10 innings 7-6 at Hopewell Field.
 
Both teams had scored 6 runs after nine full innings.  Finally, Kimberton
pulled the game out in the 10th inning.  Henderson tripled.  Bob Watson came
to the plate and hit a sacrifice fly.  Greg Gross then stroked a one-base
hit.  After another out, George Mitterwald stepped up to the plate and he hit
a single.  The game was a wild affair with the lead changing hands 5 times.
 
Fred Norman(6-3) went 9 innings allowing 6 runs for the victory. Warren
Brusstar gained credit for his 3rd save.  The loss was charged to Grant
Jackson(3-3) in relief.  
 
'Some days it just all comes together, and this was one of them' Henderson
said.  'I've been seeing the ball pretty well lately.'
 
HONEY BROOK AT MARSHALLTON

One run was the difference at Four Dogs Field as the Marshallton Mad Hatters
defeated the Honey Brook Beekeepers in 10 innings 7-6.
 
The score was tied at 6 after nine.  Marshallton was victorious in the 10th
inning.  After an out was recorded, Rowland Office banged out a single, and
an error was also committed.  Ron Cey next to the plate and he lined a
base-hit giving Marshallton the win much to the delight of the home town
crowd.  Marshallton had a total of 11 hits for the game.  
 
Eddie Solomon(3-4) got the win allowing no runs in 1 and 1/3 innings. Dave
Campbell(2-3) took the loss in relief.  He was a hard-luck loser as he did
not allow an earned run in his 1 inning of work.
