Mickey Lolich delivered 7 and two third solid innings as the Glenmoore
Stableboys (1-2) beat the Eagle Eagles (1-3) by a score of 3-2.
Glenmoore took the lead for good in the bottom of the 5th inning scoring one
runner on 2 hits. Bake McBride delivered a single. After an out was
recorded, Willie Montanez stepped in and he reached on an error. Johnny
Bench then doubled. The Eagle offense proved no trouble in the 9th.
Lolich(1-0) got the win allowing 2 runs in 7 and 2/3 innings. Gene Garber
recorded the save, his 1st. Pat Zachry(0-1) absorbed the loss. He gave up 6
hits and 4 walks in 6 and 2/3 innings.

The Marshallton Mad Hatters (1-2) defeated the Kimberton Firefighters (2-1) by a score of
6-2 at Kimberton Fairground.
Kimberton found themselves trailing quickly as the Marshallton bats came
through in the first inning as they scored 4 runs on 6 base hits. That was
all the runs Brent Strom(1-0) needed. Marshallton totaled 10 hits on the
afternoon.
Strom got relief help from Rawly Eastwick who gained credit for his 1st save.
Fred Norman(0-1) suffered the loss. He pitched 7 and 2/3 innings allowing 8
hits and no walks.
ELVERSON AT DEVAULT

Bob Forsch tossed a complete game and right fielder Ellis Valentine had 2 base
hits and 2 RBI at Great Valley Stadium as the Elverson Squires (2-2) beat the
Devault Dynamiters (2-1) by the count of 10-1.
Forsch(1-0) pitched a solid game. He was stingy on the mound, allowing just 6
hits and 3 walks in 9 innings. Elverson had 10 hits for the night.
Rick Sawyer(0-1) was tagged with the loss in relief. He was unable to control
the Elverson offense and allowed 6 hits and 4 walks in 3 and 1/3 innings.
HONEY BROOK AT CHESTER SPRINGS

Left fielder Gary Matthews jacked one out of the ballyard and had 2 RBI and
Pete Falcone didn't allow a hit until the 8th inning as the Honey Brook
Beekeepers (2-1) topped the Chester Springs (1-3) team by a score of 7-0 at Historic
Village Park.
Falcone(1-0) put on a good performance. He gave up just 3 hits and 2 walks in
8 innings. The left-handed Falcone lost his no-hit bid when Bob Boone
singled with one out in the 8th inning. Honey Brook ended up with 18 hits
for the game while Chester Springs had 3.
Jim Rooker(0-1) took the loss. Honey Brook knocked him around a bit, as he
gave up 5 runs in 4 and 2/3 innings.
LIONVILLE AT GUTHRIESVILLE

Randy Jones had a complete game as the Lionville (3-0) ballclub outscored the
Guthriesville Golddiggers (2-2) 12-3.
Jones(1-0) pitched well for Lionville in their victory. He went 9 innings and
surrended up 8 hits and 5 walks. Lionville banged out 12 hits on the night.
Larry Dierker(0-1) was given the loss. He was not very effective,
surrendering 5 runs in 3 innings.
