Rob Andrews had 2 base hits and 2 RBI and John Montefusco whiffed 10 batters
at French Creek Park where the Glenmoore Stableboys beat the Elverson Squires
by the score of 11-2.
Montefusco(5-3) gave a fine effort for Glenmoore. He went 9 innings and
surrended up 11 hits and no walks. Glenmoore banged out 13 hits on the
afternoon.
Ed Halicki(2-5) was tagged with the loss. 'Everything felt great' Montefusco
said. 'I had a good fastball, I felt I could throw it by everybody today.'

In an exciting finish the Honey Brook Beekeepers pulled out a win over the
Guthriesville Golddiggers by a score of 3-2 at The Nest.
The game was won by Honey Brook with a run in the 9th inning. After an out
was recorded, Enzo Hernandez drew a walk. Dusty Baker was next and he
reached on an error. One out later, Jay Johnstone came up and he was walked
intentionally to load the bases. Ollie Brown was up next and he drew a walk
resulting in a mighty exciting win for Honey Brook and the 624 home town fans
in attendance. Honey Brook totaled 9 hits on the night.
Santo Alcala(1-1) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 1/3 of an inning.
Ken Forsch(1-4) took the loss in relief. He was the victim of a defensive
lapse and did not allow an earned run in the game.

It was a laugher out at Great Valley Stadium. The Kimberton Firefighters
squad ripped Devault pitching for an 11-3 victory. Carl Morton(2-1), got the
win with relief help from Don Carrithers.
Kimberton had 5 runs cross the plate in the 3rd inning when they had 5 base
hits. That early run support was enough for Morton and Kimberton. Kimberton
finished with 13 hits while Devault ended up with 9.
Woodie Fryman(3-3) was the losing pitcher. He was knocked around,
surrendering 4 runs in 2 and 1/3 innings.

Bill Madlock had 2 base hits and 2 RBI as the Kimberton Firefighters bested
the Devault Dynamiters 7-4 at Great Valley Stadium.
Kimberton brought 3 runs across the plate in the top of the 3rd inning with
the help of 4 hits. Frank Taveras got things going when he banged out a
single. After an out was recorded, Pepe Mangual stepped up to the plate and
he stroked a single. Greg Gross then lined a single. Gross took off for
second and slid in with a stolen base. Madlock stepped into the box and
slapped a single. Kimberton had 14 hits for the game and Devault had 11.
The win was credited to John Candelaria(6-0) who went 6 and 1/3 innings
allowing 3 runs. Skip Lockwood got the save, his 7th. Tommy John(2-3) ended
up with the loss. He was unable to control the Kimberton offense and allowed
10 hits and 2 walks in 6 innings.

The Eagle Eagles nipped the Chester Springs team in 14 innings 5-4 at
Historic Village Park in a hard fought contest.
The game was deadlocked at 4 after nine full innings. Eagle won the hard
fought contest in the 14th inning. After an out was recorded, Pete Rose drew
a walk. Rose was safe on a stolen base. Eagle continued their aggressive
style with another stolen base. After another out, George Foster got his
chance to keep things going, but he went down on strikes. Eagle rapped out
10 hits for the night.
The win went to Mike Marshall(2-2) who allowed no runs in 4 and 2/3 innings.
Marshall was helped out by Ramon Hernandez who recorded his 2nd save.
Charlie Hough(2-4) was given the loss in relief. He was a hard-luck loser,
pitching 4 and 1/3 innings and not allowing an earned run.
Eagle continued on their recent roll, their winning streak now reaching 6
games and counting.

Second baseman Joe Morgan had 4 hits and 2 RBI and Randy Jones went 9 solid
innings at Four Dogs Field as the Lionville club beat the Marshallton Mad
Hatters 4-1.
Morgan led the offense for Lionville. He doubled in the 1st inning, smashed a
two-run homer in the 5th inning, laced a single in the 7th inning and laced a
one-base hit in the 8th inning. Lionville managed 11 hits in their victory.
Jones(8-0) picked up the complete game victory, allowing 1 run. Rob
Dressler(1-1) was charged with the loss. 'He came out with good stuff,' Jon
Brams said about Jones. 'He threw the ball good from the first pitch on.'
